Important Information:

Good Evening Church Family,

I hope this email finds you well.  I have been talking with the deacons and seeking the Lord on how we should move forward as a church, and I wanted to take a moment to update you on choices we have made. Please keep in mind that our decisions for services will be made and announced on a weekly  basis.

For this Sunday, March 22, we will not meet as a congregation in our sanctuary.  However, we will be doing a live broadcast of our complete service with only myself and a few other leaders present who are needed to conduct the service.  Our service will be live on our Facebook page and on the radio (95.7 WFLW) at 11:00 a.m.,  and on cable channel 8 at 2 p.m. We encourage you to share our Facebook live link so that others in the community who’s churches may not have the capability to go live with their services can view ours.  We hope you will come together as a family to watch our service.  Please let us know if you have any questions or difficulties accessing it.  There will be no Sunday evening service.

For the following few weeks, both the church building and family life center will be closed.  Unfortunately this includes parties, studies, or gatherings of any kind. If you had something on the calendar, we apologize for the disruption.  We will keep you up to date on when we will reopen the facilities.

We encourage you even during this time while we are separated to continue tithing.  We ask that you do this by sending a check through the mail.  The church address is 3600 East HWY 92, Monticello, KY 42633.

Please know that we are praying for you and are here to help as best we can.  Your deacons are doing an incredible job.  I am amazed at how they are stepping up and taking a lead in caring for our church during this time. They want to serve you and check in on you.  If you need anything at all, please let them know.

Here are a few things I would love for you to do in the coming days:

-PRAY – Pray in faith that God will bring an end to COVID-19.  Pray in faith that God will use this to draw people to Himself.

-CHECK IN – Check in on one another.  Maybe it is your next door neighbor, maybe it is someone in your Sunday school class, maybe it’s an elderly friend or someone younger.  Whoever the Lord brings to your mind, check in on them.  Send a text, call them on the phone, let them know that you are thinking about them.  Let’s build community through our communication even when we cannot be physically together.

-LOOK FOR GOD – God is at work.  He is present.  If we look for Him, we will see evidence of what He is doing, and how He is moving.  Feel free to comment on our Facebook post and let others know as an encouragement how God is working in your life.

“To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy – to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”  Jude 24-25
